1st Christmas as Mr. and Mrs....

We are finally beginning to recover from our trip back home for Christmas! I don't know what we're recovering from because the majority of the time we ate, slept in, lounged around, ate some more and shopped. :) It was the perfect, relaxing trip that we had been looking forward to for months :) The "excitement" started with our flights back home on the 21st. When we arrived in St. Louis for our connecting flight, we found out that the flight was overbooked and we didn't have seats. To make a long story short, we each got a voucher, sat in the airport for 9 hours and arrived in Minneapolis 11 hours after we were suppose to arrive. We officially HATE flying during the holidays! :) Therefore, we drove home with Steph and Travis on Sunday (23rd) and survived TERRIBLE weather (it took us 6 hours to get home, instead of the normal 3.25 hours). We saw many cars in the ditch and it was quite scary actually.
However, after all of the traveling drama subsided, we had a wonderful time with our families and took turns spending the night at our parents' homes. We were spoiled and loved every minute of it :) Of course the week went by way too fast, especially since we had lost 2 days because of the flight disaster. However, we LOVED being home for Christmas and wouldn't want it any other way!
Here are some of our highlights from the week...

We stole our pose from Steph and Travis :)

This Christmas was EXTRA special because Dave proposed to my sister, Jennie, on Christmas morning!! He did it in front of all of us (very sweet and brave, I might add) and we are so happy for them. Yay for another Ferguson wedding! :)

The happy couple...check out Jennie's rock! It's very unique and pretty.

The growing Brass family :) (How is this the only picture we got together?!?)

The original Ferguson family (before the hunky men entered our lives- besides you, Dad) :)
