Here are the sweet little angels I teach every morning...
Here is what they are like 90% of the time...
It's hard for me to believe that our school year is almost over! We only have 4 more weeks until our "End of the Year Program." I will miss this class and have truly enjoyed teaching them for the past 9 months. One of my favorite moments from the year happened yesterday before our field trip to the post office. In February we took a different field trip to the mall to a place similar to "Build A Bear." Each child made two animals, one to keep and one to give away. We decided that each child was going to fill a shoe box with the animal, some candy, a toothbrush and toothpaste and a little ball. (We thought of this after we had a guest speaker come and talk about his time in Afghanistan). Anyway, yesterday we put all the little shoe boxes in a giant box and all walked to the post office to mail it. But before we sealed the box, we wrote a letter to the little kids who will be receiving these toys. We asked the preschoolers what to write and they immediately said, "That we love them and that we're praying for them every day." While their little, innocent minds cannot comprehend war and what life is truly like for these children overseas, they understood that God loves them, so we should love and pray for them too. It was very sweet and gratifying to hear this, when you don't always know if what you are teaching them is really making a difference.

Totally cute! I love the little caps and gowns...I can't believe they wear them! The second picture is my favorite as it totally captures the real nature of pre-schoolers! Cute Stace.
