Well, it's been VERY busy since my last post! It feels like my family came to visit a lifetime ago. Let me recap because it's been awhile...
A few days before my family came, Jesse sent me a text from work saying he had free Tim McGraw tickets the night they were to arrive. I was super excited as I have always wanted to see him in concert! So, the weary travelers arrived around 7:30 and we drug Jen and Dave with us for some good ole fashion country music fun. :) It was SO hot at the concert, even late at night, but we all enjoyed ourselves. He did not disappoint and it was a great way to kick off our vacation!
MONDAY:
The next morning we decided to head to the beach for the afternoon. We stopped at a surf store on the way and left with 4 swimsuits, 2 pairs of sunglasses, a sunhat, salt water taffy and probably many more things I'm forgetting. :) The weather was perfect beach weather and we had a very relaxing time.
That night we walked to Town Center and ate dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen. We all split 3 large pizzas and finished every last bite. :)
TUESDAY:
Jesse, Dave and Jen had all kinds of fun in the pool. :)
My mom and I headed to the store to get some food to grill for supper. Oh. my. heavens. It was sooooo good...
If you look closely, you can see what Jesse had for dinner. :) This was definitely one of my favorites of the week. We took it all out to the pool and enjoyed another gorgeous night!
It was so pleasant, in fact, that we walked back to Town Center and enjoyed some cheesecake. Counting calories was clearly not on our minds this week. :)

Back to the Beach! The water was much colder, but that didn't stop my Dad and Jesse. (Jen and Dave also enjoyed the frigid temps, while my Mom and I stuck close to the cabana). :)
That night, we ate at a local seafood restaurant called "Dockside". I tried scallops for the first and last time. Yuck.

SissiesTHURSDAY:
We headed to Williamsburg to shop at an outlet mall and see some of historic Williamsburg. It was historically HOT!!
Our amazing caramel apples literally melted in our hands.

We headed to downtown Norfolk to see the U.S.S. Wisconsin.

Dad, Mom, Jen and Dave: Thanks for driving A LONG way to come see us. It was one of my favorite vacations ever. The only way it could have been better was if Trav, Steph and Ava could have joined us. Sorry you had to cram in our little apartment. Come visit us again next summer please. :) Love and miss you!!

Looked like such a fun week, wish we could have been there, but maybe next year we can all come out :) Especially now that you have room for everybody and I won't be pregnant! My favorite part about this whole post is the amazing meal you guys made and the fact that Jesse had hotdogs. Classic :)
